Staying Positive In A Negative Environment

Yeah they say it's easy to stay positive in a negative environment; Well it all comes down to mindset how do you choose to look at life. Do you see the beauty of it or do you notice all the negative around you?

I had a friend ask me this. She currently is going through a lot in her life right now. How do you tell her that everything that is happening in her life; she brought it to herself whether unconsciously knowing what she was doing.

After all most people are not ready to accept the fact that they do bring things about in their lives. I am not sure if I should even mention it. If I do tell her that she had something to do with everything happening in her life she might get very upset with me and not talk to me again.

Basically I told her that staying positive in a negative environment is a choice, she can either focus on all the negativity or she can be grateful for everything that she has right now. For instance she currently is in great health, her family stands beside her, and she has some friends who are there for her if she needs them.

Once she begins to be grateful for everything in her life, then I believe things will change for her.
