10 Tips For Increasing Your Blog Traffic

Have you set up a blog? Well it is one of the simplest things to set up. First of all its free. However the biggest challenge people have once they set one up is generating enough traffic to get clicks on their adsense affiliate or any other affiliate they have on their blog.

So how can you get more traffic? Well I have found 10 ways that hopefully assist you in receiving more traffic.

1.) Link exchange with other bloggers. This requires you to mail a request to other bloggers to have a reciprocal link in their blogs. This is time consuming however I believe it is worth the time.

2.) Give Comments to Other Blogs Find some blogs related to your niche and give some
valuable comments and include your link in your comment, this way the visitors of that blog who are interested in your comment will be able to visit your blog as well.

3.) Submit your blog to blog Directories You can submit your blog to some major blog
directories like technorati.com, blogstreet.com & feedster.com. Another thing whenever you submit a new post you will want to ping your blog. You can do this at pingomatic.com this will submit your blog into the search engines. Which in turn will bring more visitors to your site.

4.) Write Articles and submit to article directories. This is a very time consuming method; because it involves you to do more writing. However if you love writing articles this is a great route, because people can find your articles forever. They stay in the system forever. You just have to ensure that you have resource box at the end of every article in which include your link.

5.) Write Press Release. I haven't done this so I have no prior experience I can share with you on this. However this is a great technique (I have heard) If anyone would like to share their experience with this technique please feel free to share.

6.) Opt in box for free newsletter You can always put a form for getting a targeted list of subscribers. Who can be informed whenever you make any new blog post or send them a free newsletter every month. They will be repeat customers to your site and you will build their trust; which then turns into customers for your business, sales, affiliates.

7.) Publish Your Ezine By publishing your own E-zine you can build relationship with your own subscribers by giving useful information & free stuff. People love free stuff and they begin to trust you. They all begin to look forward to those monthly ezines.

8.) Pay Per Click Traffic. I do not recommend this unless you absolutely know what you are doing. And if you can make more that what you are spending. Before you attempt this technique for your blog double check to see if it would be profitable for you to take this route.

9.) Hold Carnivals on your blog. This is one of the ways that brings my blog a lot of traffic. Whenever I post my carnival on my blog. My traffic always doubles because people will come look at your carnivals and check out their links. While they are on your site they then click and buy whatever you have.

10.) Forum Signatures Try and find some forums on your own niche by using google.com. Almost all forums have signature feature which can be used for giving your free report or links for your blog.

When you start off building your blog, you have to have a definite goal of whate it is you wish to accomplish with it. Then once you have that plan in hand, stick with it regardless; after a while you will begin to see the traffic begin to snowball and you will begin to develop that multiple stream of income.
