You can not achieve both success and failure at the same time. Success is persisting until you reach your goals. Yes sometimes success comes in ways we never thought would be possible. We set out to reach our goals and expect them to come about the way we always imagined it in our minds.

The only thing is somtimes we are given different routes to take. It does not mean that you will not experience success; it just means you must be flexible when it comes to reaching your goals. This is what makes every successful person unique. Many of them have failed before in one area of their lives, however they understand and believe that they will achieve the success they set out to achieve.

Failure on the other hand is to quit working towards your goals at the first sign of adversity. Many people who set goals fail to set goals that they are passionate about. If you fail to set goals that you have a burning desire to achieve, you will not have the strength to achieve the success you are looking for.

If you want to achieve financial success; believe in your heart that you too can have it as well. You are no different than anyone else who has ever achieved this stutus. The only thing that everyone else has done, is they have put in the work both mentally and physically to achieve their financial freedom. Begin immediately by setting some goals that you are passionate about and begin spending some time visualizing your success. I do this once every morning and once in the evening. It is important to feel the feelings of success; after all your subconscious can not tell the difference between what is real and what is not.

If you begin feeling the feelings of wealth, guess what you will begin acting like the type of person who has already achieved the wealth. Opportunities will begin presenting themselves to you, your job is just to take action on thos opportunities.

What Were Your Goals For 2008

I have been extremely busy for awhile that is why I have neglected to post on this blog. I apologize to all my readers. However I am back.

I hope everyone took the time to write down their goals for 2008; and I hope everyone is still working towards them. I went out and purchased a whiteboard for my bedroom and wrote all my goals on it. I put it right beside my bedside because when I awaken in the morning I love to see my goals.

I have also started reading The Science Of Getting Rich again. I had read it before however I decided to pick it up again.

Your goals should instill a burning desire in you in order for you to keep working towards them. I can honestly say that mine do; I work towards them everyday. So what are some of your goals that you set for yourself in 2008? If you would like to share I would like to listen.

I have received a couple of emails in the last few days as to why I have not posted on this blog for a while. I have been busy working on a website of mine that has taken a lot of time to get off of the ground. While doing that of course I still am working on my personal development and taking care of other things as well. I did not realize how much work goes into beginning a new site.

I have enjoyed the whole process though it has kept me away from this site. I hope everyone can understand why I have neglected this blog for awhile. I will attempt to keep this blog updated as much as possible.

I know it is a new year and I wish everyone a prosperous 2008.

Are You Ready For Success?

Are you ready for success? Most people who venture out into their own business do not have a clue what they desire. As a matter of fact if you ask them they will reply something to the extent of I want more time, and I want to make more money.

Well we all would love more time; but what do you want the time for, spending with your family, to do the things you love, like hiking, riding a bike, pursuing some classes you always wanted to take?

Also more money well we all would love more money, but what do you want the money for? To purchase a home, new car, go on vacations?

You have to learn to be more specific and know what it is you desire before you can expect success to come to you. After all if you do not know what you desire how can you know what to aim for? But most important than anything else; you have to be brave enough to take action.

There is a story I once heard about a cow and a rhino and I would love to share it with you. I have put it into my own words but the original is from Scott Alexander, however I hope you enjoy it and can relate to it.

There once was a heard of cows out in this cow pasture which was filled with grass and cow manure everywhere. But out in the middle of this herd of cows was this rhino, and he was totally out of place. Six thousand pounds of muscle; and thick armor of skin, with this big horn sticking out of his head. And the rhino wanted to leave the cow pasture and go to the promise land. And off into the distance you can see the promise land. But to get to the promise land you must first go through the jungle. The jungle is filled with thrones, quicksand and hunters; but the rhino has 6 inches of thick skin.

Contrary to the better judgment of the cows, and some of these seem to be very learned cows; the rhino leaves the cow pasture. And won’t you know it there’s adversity, hunters shooting at him, quicksand etc. Eventually the rhino meets up with some other rhinos and they say to him we’ll help you get through the jungle. There will still be some adversity but we’ll show you where the quicksand is and you don’t have to walk into the arrows, right? It’ll still be a bit of a struggle but we’ll help you to make it a nicer ride.

Eventually our rhino friend makes it through the jungle and to the promise land. What does our rhino do? Jumps back into the jungle. Why? To help the other fledgling rhinos get through the jungle.

And then one day when as our rhino is relaxing, laying in his mud hole, he notices other rhinos coming out of the jungle. One by one they’re coming out of the jungle and he asks where are these rhinos coming from? And in a moment of clarity he realizes it must be the cow pasture. These rhinos were actually cows it’s just that they had been conned into believing they were cows. So convincingly that they even looked like cows, and even smelled like cows.

We’re all rhinos. We were born risk takers; all this self imposed limitations, is all just a story.
So how does this relate to you? Your cow side is your conscious mind and your rhino is your subconscious mind. Your subconscious mind has all the answers for you to achieve anything you desire in life if you just know how to access it.

And yes you are ready for success; you just have to be willing to take action.

It is now your turn to focus on success. Summer is finally past us again and when we look at the calendar it is hard to believe that Christmas is just 3 months away. As you take a look at your life are you happy with the results you have accomplished as of now?

Are you truly able to spend the time with your loved ones or are you working way too much? I have a couple of friends who are too scared to do anything outside of working another job, that they are in the process of getting a secong job.

I know risks are scary however if you are not willing to focus on success and take the steps necessary to achieve that success; you can not expect to accomplish anything different. We all love the safety of knowing that everything is going to be fine.

However if you continue down the safety road; ask yourself where will you be in 10-20 years?

It is now your time to focus on success and realize that yes you too can have it all. We are meant to be abundant and prosperous in our lives. However it is up to you to take the action to receive your blessings.

Have you set up a blog? Well it is one of the simplest things to set up. First of all its free. However the biggest challenge people have once they set one up is generating enough traffic to get clicks on their adsense affiliate or any other affiliate they have on their blog.

So how can you get more traffic? Well I have found 10 ways that hopefully assist you in receiving more traffic.

1.) Link exchange with other bloggers. This requires you to mail a request to other bloggers to have a reciprocal link in their blogs. This is time consuming however I believe it is worth the time.

2.) Give Comments to Other Blogs Find some blogs related to your niche and give some
valuable comments and include your link in your comment, this way the visitors of that blog who are interested in your comment will be able to visit your blog as well.

3.) Submit your blog to blog Directories You can submit your blog to some major blog
directories like technorati.com, blogstreet.com & feedster.com. Another thing whenever you submit a new post you will want to ping your blog. You can do this at pingomatic.com this will submit your blog into the search engines. Which in turn will bring more visitors to your site.

4.) Write Articles and submit to article directories. This is a very time consuming method; because it involves you to do more writing. However if you love writing articles this is a great route, because people can find your articles forever. They stay in the system forever. You just have to ensure that you have resource box at the end of every article in which include your link.

5.) Write Press Release. I haven't done this so I have no prior experience I can share with you on this. However this is a great technique (I have heard) If anyone would like to share their experience with this technique please feel free to share.

6.) Opt in box for free newsletter You can always put a form for getting a targeted list of subscribers. Who can be informed whenever you make any new blog post or send them a free newsletter every month. They will be repeat customers to your site and you will build their trust; which then turns into customers for your business, sales, affiliates.

7.) Publish Your Ezine By publishing your own E-zine you can build relationship with your own subscribers by giving useful information & free stuff. People love free stuff and they begin to trust you. They all begin to look forward to those monthly ezines.

8.) Pay Per Click Traffic. I do not recommend this unless you absolutely know what you are doing. And if you can make more that what you are spending. Before you attempt this technique for your blog double check to see if it would be profitable for you to take this route.

9.) Hold Carnivals on your blog. This is one of the ways that brings my blog a lot of traffic. Whenever I post my carnival on my blog. My traffic always doubles because people will come look at your carnivals and check out their links. While they are on your site they then click and buy whatever you have.

10.) Forum Signatures Try and find some forums on your own niche by using google.com. Almost all forums have signature feature which can be used for giving your free report or links for your blog.

When you start off building your blog, you have to have a definite goal of whate it is you wish to accomplish with it. Then once you have that plan in hand, stick with it regardless; after a while you will begin to see the traffic begin to snowball and you will begin to develop that multiple stream of income.

Here are some blogging tips for bloggers; I found these are working for my blog to receive more traffic I hope that they work for you as well.

There are several ways to get more exposure for your blog and once you learn them you will begin to see the traffic coming in. I have went from receiving 16 visitors a day to now receiving 45 a day. It all happened in just a short amount of time. These blogging tips are for blogger who's desire is to get more traffic on a daily basis. Of course if you know of any blogging tips I have missed feel free to share your ideas.

If you are looking to get more traffic you should become a member of blog communities like:

1.) Bloglog

2.) Topblog

3.) Goodblogs

4.) Blograter

5.) Outpost

This is a good place to begin and it should not take you very long to submit your blog to these sites so you can begin receiving traffic.

In order to find out how much traffic you are receiving you should put a traffic counter on your site and also stick google analytics on your site. So you can keep an eye on which keywords are working best and which keywords your traffic is coming from.

Google analytics also lets you know where the traffic is coming from. It will break it down by percentages of where your traffic is coming from.

How much is coming from direct traffic: people who type in your url in the browser.

How much is coming from search engines: what keywords people are finding your site in google, yahoo and others.

How much is coming from referring sites: If you have exchanged a link with someone else or submitted to blog carnivals whose site they visited to get to your site.

It all boils down to staying on top of which keywords people are searching for and use those keywords to build and grow your blog. Just keep posting in your blog and you will eventually get spidered into the search engines which will bring more traffic to your site.

Blog Income; Why Share It With Others

Do you currently make blog income and if so do you share it with others? I make some blog income daily but I do not share it with others. I know eventually it is going to get better.

Right now my goal is to continue to grow my traffic and share what I learn with my readers.

2. Bragging Rights - Blogging is hard work and some do it to show off and let people know what they have achieved

3. Inspiration - Some bloggers do it because they want to inspire their readers and show them what is possible

My main goal for my readership to assist them and show them that there are better ways in life to make income; and blog income is just one of them.

However I would love for everyone to learn the secrets of creating more traffic to their website after all traffic is the lifeline of any business. Without it we are just a blog on the internet with no blog income.

So focus on first getting traffic to your website and you do that by writing content and then after you begin getting a consistent flow of traffic you can begin monetizing your blog to begin earning blog income.

Well we know if they aren't getting traffic then there is no money coming in. Traffic is the most important secret to making thousands online. After all if no one is seeing your site then no one is clicking on your ads, or being directed to your affiliates.

I had a friend who started a blog about four months ago; she started posting it with great a great goal of wanting to make money from adsense and other monetary forms. However she got carried away and started another one before she could actually begin gaining traffic to her site.

Now she has two blogs and very little time and devotion to spend posting in them. She asked me a question "How many times do you have to post in your blog to get exposure to it? My advice to her was and if anyone has a different response I can let her know feel free to share your answers.

My response to her was to post at least 3-4 times a week. That is how many times I post on my blog; sometimes more if I do have the time.

The only big secret to making thousands online is to be consistent and persistent and stick with it. Read forums and learn from other people who have been doing it longer than you. We never get to old to quit learning if you think you are then that is when you fail.

Have Faith; Like A Mustard Seed

Faith is a quality one must possess to acquire anything; yes sometimes it gets a little hard especially when we find things not going the way we would like them to go. However if your faith is strong and persistent and you continue to work to work towards your goal, you will achieve your goal.

I recently started an affiliate program called 7Search it has not even been 30 days yet and I have made some money. Now it is not alot of money but I am making money pretty much everyday. I am keeping track to see how much money I make in a month.

It works just like adsense, they give you some html codes to add to your site and whenever someone clicks on them you get paid. It is very easy to add the html code to your site.

I have been told to test an affiliate to see how it produces in a couple of weeks. How much time do you give an affiliate to perform?

I did not go with Google adsense; because for some reason they did not approve my site. However I am pleased with 7Search because they pay very well per click on my ads. I had adbrite on my site, but it was a waste of my time. They were only paying me like .03 a click.

I like to stick with affiliates that pay well. If anyone knows of any other affiliates I could check out I would greatly appreciate it.

Unfortunately for most people the power of a nap is only a daydream after most people work a JOB and are too busy to take a nap. If they are not busy they feel guilty about closing their eyes during the day when they can be doing other things.

Everyone is feeling very stressed and in a hurry nowadays. What happened to the days that were about relaxation and really just doing what you enjoyed?

I know I used to be one of them; I would feel guilty if I took a nap during the day cause I would feel like I did not accomplish anything. Well that has changed now whenever I feel my body needing to relax I obey it and I take a quick nap.

When I awaken I feel great and rejuvenated. I love taking naps and I am sure my dogs do as well.

The first and foremost challenge for bloggers is finding/writing great content to keep the regular visitors and to get new visitors. After all if you can't find anything interesting to write about why would people come to your site?

How can one find great content to write in their blog?

I realize after a year of blogging, many bloggers (including me) spend too much time worried about the amount of traffic their blog gets. Now don't get me wrong we should all pay attention to our stats, but I believe we should spend more time writing valuable content as well.

Writing content is the most important thing to do whenever you have a blog; after all the search engines (Google) love content and the more content you write the more people will see your site.
We only have 24 hours in a day; and in my opinion we should spend more time writing content than being worried about marketing our blog.

Is it really that difficult to write great content?

No, I believe that if you find a top that you are passionate about and dedication you can do it fairly easy.

First of all choose a topic you want to write about. Choose a topic which is useful/interesting. If you already have the knowledge to write about the topic you chose, it will be much easier for you to write. If you don’t have much idea about it, don’t worry, there is always google.
Search/research about it and learn about the topic which can take few hours to few days (depends on which topic you chose and how efficient you are).

If you would rather, you can use the search it box below and find a topic on the web that you would like to write about. Once you find something you are passionate about it will make writing a lot more easier.

Staying Positive In A Negative Environment

Yeah they say it's easy to stay positive in a negative environment; Well it all comes down to mindset how do you choose to look at life. Do you see the beauty of it or do you notice all the negative around you?

Ok so we all know that you can start a blog with little or no money. All you have to do is go to blogger.com or you can go to wordpress.com. Now that you have set up your blog and you are passionate about the subject you chose Now what?

The steps to building a successful blog include the following:

1.) Content is king. If you do not make regular posts in your blog, you can forget it. That is why you want to choose something you are passionate about, so you can easily write about it and have the time and motivation to do research on it or read other blogs about the same subject you are writing about.

You want to post on a consistent basis, as opposed to only posting once a month. When I first started my blog I got tied up in daily life and did not make time to post. Now my goal is to post at least 3 times a week. I post more if my time allows it.

2.) Write down your why. (Why am I blogging and what do I wish to achieve?) If you have a strong enough why you will have the courage and desire to stick with it. Somedays you are not going to want to post in your blog, after all it is summertime and there are places and things to do.

If your "why" is strong enough you will take the hour out of your day to move towards your goal.

3.) You should always interact with your readers. When someone leaves a comment on your blog; always take the time to respond to it. I did not do this at the beginning, but now I make it a ritual, whenever someone leaves a comment I always respond.

Ask for people's thoughts and ideas, this not only lets them feel like they are part of the blog; but can also give you more useful topics to write about later. Like on days that you are feeling you have nothing to write about.

4.) Brand yourself as knowledgable and experienced. Now I don't claim to be a guru of any kind about blogging or earning money online. As a matter of fact, I am on a journey to financial freedom. (The point is I have taken the leap into entrepreneurship) it is a learning process. If it was extremely easy don't you agree that more people would do it?

You want to brand your blog with pictures of yourself and let people know that you are a real person.

5.) You have to be able to write. Now I am not talking about being a great writer with proper english and punctuation marks like you were taught in high school. Cause I don't believe I was a great writer in school. You just have to be able to get your point across to people and help them understand what you are writing about, and why you are writing about it.

When you write valuable information and help people, then in turn people will be helping you because they will pick up your article and link to you. As you get more articles picked up and linked to your popularity and rankings will grow. so focus on writing valuable information and help people and in turn be helped.

It all comes back to your goal, what do you want to accomplish? First figure that out and then you will know the path to take.

6.) Read other successful bloggers posts, I read other peoples blogs like john chow, steve pavlina, and the problogger. Why? Well they give me useful information to see what they are talking about and you should never stop learning.

7.) Build your traffic. This is the must have of any successful blogger. If you have all 6 steps in place on top, but do not have traffic, then guess what. It does not matter.

Traffic is the lifeline to any website, blog, business whatever you name it. If you don't have it then you are not really in business. So how do we get traffic? Follow all 7 of these steps and you will see the traffic begin to come in.

Most of the time your head is going to play games with you; and tell you to be rational and do not get out of your comfort zone. In order to take a leap of faith you have to be willing to
jump.

So instead of being scared to pursue your dreams no matter what they are have enough belief in the attractor factor to know that what you desire will manifest once you begin take action. I truly believe you can have anything you desire and the only limit there are are the limits that we place upon ourselves.

Quit placing limits on yourself. Why not just believe you can have anything at all. It does not take anymore effort to truly believe you can have what you desire. Instead of placing your focus on what you do not wish to experience. Begin to place your focus 100% on what you truly desire.

Fear Can Cripple You

Fear can cripple you and prevent you from folowing your dreams if you let it. You have to remember that fear is not real, it is just your mind playing games with you.

Fear (false evidence appearing real) keeps people from doing what it is they truly desire. I talked to a lady the other day who was tired of working for the company she was presently working for. She just had a child and was getting off of maternity leave, and did not want to leave her child with daycare. She did not want someone else raising her children and said she wanted to make a change.

Unfortunately she let fear cripple her; and she had all kinds of excuses of why she could not move forward. Fear can cripple you if you are not careful. Our mind starts playing all kinds of games with you, you find yourself asking all these questions:

1.) If you start your own business you might fail. What will you do if you fail? You have a secure
job right now where you paycheck comes every two weeks (or whenever you get paid)

2.) What will my family think to have this dream to leave my 9-5?

3.) I have never been an entrepreneur, how will I know what to do?

4.) People always want to know how am I doing? Am I making money. (I have never
understood this question.) For the simple fact, how I am doing has no reference to how
someone else will do. If you have persistence and motivation then I believe you can
succeed in whatever you do. You can not and should not base your decisions on how
someone else is doing in life.

5.) It costs too much money to start a business. We all know that starting a business is going to
take a little bit of start up money. Depending on what kind of business you start. If you are
not ready to invest your time or your money; then maybe it is best you remain an employee.

So remember next time you are looking at following your passions "fear can cripple you " if you choose to let it. The hardest part to anything is making the decision to move forward.

3.) Use affirmations: When the going gets tough and your monkey chatter tries to fool
you and deter your faith always have some positive affirmations that you can use
to keep you on track.

4.) Be careful of the words you use: The subconscious mind listens to everything.If
you continually tell yourself you now have the goal in hand you can trick your
mind into believing you do now have it.

Persistence Leads To Achievement

I spoke to a friend of mine yesterday and she was talking about one of her goals. She had been wanting to purchase a house for the past year, and a mortgage broker told her that it would be impossible to purchase her house because of something on her credit.

Since they told her that, she has basically given up and has settled on living in her apartment. I told her that if they really wanted to purchase the house, there is a way, it may not happen today, but if she gave up, chances are she will never purchase the house.

I remember when I purchased my first house I was 27 at the time. I had set my goal to purchase my first house at the age of 25. It took me two years to accomplish my goal. When I finally did accomplish it though it felt awesome.

Why do most people give up on their goals when someone tells them "No?" If I gave up on my goals because someone said no, I would still be working at a JOB I hated, and I would never have found my journey of personal development.

I do not care what people have to say about me and my goals. I absolutely believe that if I have a goal (which I do) as long as I persist then I will achieve them.

Persistence is something you develop, if you truly desire something and you have a passion for it, go after it. You can have anything you truly desire as long as you're willing to pursue your dreams.

What Are You Willing To Do To Become A Millionaire?

If you are like 97% of the population then chances are you are not willing to do whatever it takes. Everyone I talk to wants to become a millionaire but there is a difference in wanting to become a millionaire and taking action to become one. Most people make up some kind of excuse on why they do not pursue it or why they believe they can not:

1.) Not enough money to pursue a business of their own
2.) Not enough time to follow through
3.) I do not know how or what to do
4.) I do not believe I can do it
5.) Everything is a scam
6.) I was taught the only way to make money is to work hard

These are just some of the excuses I have heard before, I am sure there are tons more. It is true, that our parents did not teach us, to go out and start a business so that we can become financially independent. They taught you to work hard for someone else, but unfortunately those days are over. If you ever desire to become wealthy you must start some kind of business for yourself.

All the people I ever notice enjoying life and having all the money to do whatever they desire, do not work hard at a job. They are self employed, and love what they do; they provide service to others and while in the process of doing that they become wealthy.

Can you honesty say that "you love your job?" Do you get fulfillment from it? If so congratulations then you have found your path for yourself. I believe everyone should love what they are doing or you should not do it.

I know a lot of people are not motivated by money, after all it is just a tool. A tool which if you have enough of, you can pretty much do anything you desire. Without money you can not:

1.) purchase groceries
2.) pay your bills
3.) go for a night out on the town
4.) Have a Roof over your head
5.) Spend time with your children

So why do most people Stay at a job, where they are living paycheck to paycheck? If you knew that you could start a business and in the next 3-5 years you could be a millionaire, would you?

I am on that journey now, and I am willing to do whatever it takes to achieve that. That is the difference between the top 3% in America. In order to reach success, you have to be willing to pay the price whatever it may be.

I once hear someone say if she knew she could become a millionaire in 3-5 years, and she had to pick up dog poop to get there, she would do it. I absolutely know I would do that as well.

So whenever you find your path whatever it may be for you, stick with it regardless of whatever you have to do. You might be forced to do something you do not like doing for awhile, just remember you will not be doing it forever.

Always keep your eye on the goal, and never stop believing. Write your goal down on paper and see it as already being accomplished.

Most of all stay away from negative people. People will not want you to change "Misery likes company" If they have some kind of excuse of staying stagnant they will attempt to keep you there as well.

Most Americans will not have enough money to retire by the age of 65. Set your goals high, do not short change yourself. You are capable of so much more than you know. You just have to have the courage to go out and get it.

We all would love to be millionaires, but the truth is only 3% of people are willing to do whatever it takes.

Starting a business of your own is the best shot to becoming a millionaire and achieving financial freedom. There are all kinds of opportunities available to anyone even if you do not have any experience. You just have to open your eyes and be willing to have enough courage to start one.

Dogs Are So Laid Back

I wake up every morning the first thing I do is I do my visualization and my meditation. Then I have started working out, so that I can get a tone body. I started a program called the six week work out. I have been doing it for about two weeks now.

Everyday I have a routine, that I like to do and usually it goes the way I like but if it does not for some reason I seem to stress. We all know that stress is not good, and I really do not have anything to stress about. But my old self was a very stressful person and would freak very often when things didn't go the way I planned.

I have changed my whole mindset knowing that if you want something done, then you just have to visualize it and meditate on it (of course take some action) and it will come. But it will come when it comes, it doesn't come on your terms. It comes when you have become that person.

As I look at my dogs I learn from them they are the most laid back creatures I have seen. They don't expect anything, except maybe an occassional pat on the head and love. Yet they don't really expect it, they just know they are going to get it. At 6:00 everyday they know like clockwork they are going to be fed. There are no if and's or buts about it. They just know.

That is how I have my mindset programed and still have to work on sometimes. I have my goal in mind. I absolutely know what it is I desire. I have been sidetracked from the route I was taking before. But just because I am on a different path, it still leads to the same destination as before. As long as I never stop believing in my desire and continue in a forward motion, then I have to get to my GOAL.

It all comes down to being persistent, if you persist then I believe you can accomplish anything. Just keep moving forward and believing.

Plants Are Like Dreams

I planted some tomato plants a couple of weeks ago, they seem to be growing pretty good, this is the first time we have planted something and it has grown. We have been watering them and making sure they get enough sun, because that is what makes a plant grow.

It's the same for a dream or a goal you have, you plant the seed of what you desire, then you give it attention on a daily basis through visualization. Be grateful for the life you have now, and then give it time to manifest.

You can't put a time limit on when you want it to happen because it doesn't happen your time schedule, your job is just to believe it is going to happen and then let it go. We as people expect things to happen so quick and then when it doesn't happen as quick as you think it should, we get upset and start second guessing everything and think maybe it won't work. We have all been guilty of that even me.

Last night I was watching a show I can't remember the name but they were having an interview with the inventor of the Dyson Vacuum cleaners. He had worked on his vacuums for 35 years, before he was successful. As of today he has sold over 20 million. He says as an inventor or an entrepreneur you should expect failure, but you just don't accept it.

So no matter what you are working towards, just believe wholeheartedly that you will reach your goal. Be grateful for where you are today and don't ever give up, no matter how long it takes you. You can't fail if you don't Quit.

Happy Mother's Day

I just wanted to say Happy Mother's Day to all the Mothers out there. Tomorrow is your day to relax and let everyone take care of you for a change. What if everyday was like that, and you were able to relax and not have to worry about anything?

Well it can be, if you truly wanted it to be and believed it could be. I am not a Mother, (I have 2 dogs but no children.) I am on the path to my freedom right now. I wake up around 7:30 am everyday only because I am an early riser, and I do my meditation and visualization of my goals. The rest of the day, I get to choose and do whatever it is I want. I am not totally financially free yet, but I am on the right path. This morning I was very blessed to wake up and find out that one of my businesses online made $100 while I slept.

I am still on the path to my goals, but I see them very clearly, and believe that I will reach them. The point is if you are tired of working for others, and the cost of living going up, and nothing really changing with your situation. Are you ready to do something about it? I am not saying it will be overnight success, but as long as you have persistence and you know what you want, are you willing to do whatever it takes to reach your goal?

Under The Tuscany Sun

I recently watched the movie "Under The Tuscany Sun" it is an awesome movie. I highly recommend anyone who uses the Law of Attraction to watch it. It is about a lady who recently gets divorced and moves to Tuscany.

She buys a villa and wants to have a wedding and a family in the house one day. It is based on faith and believing what you desire is on its way. At the end of the movie the director talks about how the movie is based on having faith, and going for something even if you are not ready for it. Most people spend their time getting ready for something and never take action.

If you truly desire something "Just Do It" don't be the 97% of people who say well someday I will. Cause usually if you wait chances are you will never pursue your dream.

So have you asked yourself lately what it is you truly desire? Take time to think about what you desire and then have a plan to follow your dreams. Just have the courage to do it!

Well, it’s pretty apparent, isn’t it? And every person who discovered this believed (for a while) that he was the first one to work it out. We become what we think about.

Conversely, the person who has no goal, who doesn’t know where he’s going, and whose thoughts must therefore be thoughts of confusion, anxiety and worry – his life becomes one of frustration, fear, anxiety and worry. And if he thinks about nothing… he becomes nothing.

How does it work? Why do we become what we think about? Well, I’ll tell you how it works, as far as we know. To do this, I want to tell you about a situation that parallels the human mind.

Suppose a farmer has some land, and it’s good, fertile land. The land gives the farmer a choice; he may plant in that land whatever he chooses. The land doesn’t care. It’s up to the farmer to make the decision.

We’re comparing the human mind with the land because the mind, like the land, doesn’t care what you plant in it. It will return what you plant, but it doesn’t care what you plant.

Now, let’s say that the farmer has two seeds in his hand- one is a seed of corn, the other is nightshade, a deadly poison. He digs two little holes in the earth and he plants both seeds-one corn, the other nightshade. He covers up the holes, waters and takes care of the land…and what will happen? Invariably, the land will return what was planted. As it’s written in the Bible,

“As ye sow, so shall ye reap.”

Remember the land doesn’t care. It will return poison in just as wonderful abundance as it will corn. So up come the two plants - one corn, one poison.

The human mind is far more fertile, far more incredible and mysterious than the land, but it works the same way. It doesn’t care what we plant… success...or failure. A concrete, worthwhile goal…or confusion, misunderstanding, fear, anxiety and so on. But what we plant it must return to us.

What Do You Really Want?

I have purchased "The Secret" Cd and whenever I get in my car that is what is playing. I have been focusing like a laser beam on the things that I desire as opposed what I do not want.

Well we had a yard sale last week and my goal was to make $600. Well we make $575.00 which was awesome!! The other day I was attempting to get across town in a timely manner, and instead of focusing on not being late. I said to myself all the lights I encounter are green. I am not joking all the lights along the way were green. I got to one, and was slowing down cause as it was red, but before I came to a stop it turned green.

Today I was sitting on the couch and checking my email. I thought that was really cool. I am a true believer about the law of attraction and I live by those standards everyday. I don't focus on negative things and If I find my mind going there I make sure that I get out of it right away.

Keeping Your Motivation Up

I have people ask me that question sometimes. They want to know how in times of adversity or times when your reality isn't what you desire yet, how do I stay motivated?

Well I use affirmations several times a day, and I find myself reading many positive books. I also know that If I hold the image in my mind It will come to fruition, my job is just to hold the the image in my mind and know that it is coming.

I just started reading the book "The Secret" I have the dvd and I truly believe anyone who uses the Law Of Attraction should own the movie, and I read it anytime I can. As a matter of fact, it goes with me wherever I go.

Yesterday I was walking my dogs and I looked down and there was a penny, that always makes my day, cause I know that I am attracting good things to me.

You just have to know that it just takes time and persistence but if you stick with it, you will manifest what you desire. After all if it was easy wouldn't everyone be doing it? It takes a person with courage and somebody who knows what they desire to bring about their desire.

So if you are someone who is working towards their goals, and has not reached it yet, just keep working towards it and believe wholeheartedly that you will reach it. After all the only way you can fail is if you quit!!

The Move Is Almost Over

This past week has been a very busy one with us moving and trying to pack everything. One thing is for sure, when we do move out on the water I am going to hire "Two Men And A Truck" This packing and moving stuff is not fun.

Today we are going over there to unpack and wait on our furniture to be delivered. It is starting to look like a livable place, but there are still alot of boxes everywhere.

Tonight I think is going to be the first night that we are able to spend the night, we have been staying at the house, cause I really don't like to sleep in a place that is real messy and chaotic.

My goal is that in at least 3 years or sooner I will be in my new home on the water here in NC on Lake James. With a boat slip that has a boat and two jet skis. I have picked out the home from a magazine and I am going to do my affirmation and goal boards over again when I get into the condo.

If anyone can let me know where I can go to get some Ideas on creating a new one please let me know.

Leveraging Your Time

It's been a week since I have posted in my blog, I haven't went anywhere things have just been hectic in my household. I am in the process of moving and working my business, how do you find time to write in the blog?

You can’t get ahead unless you learn how to leverage your time. Leverage your time by starting your own business and building a team. When you look at successful people, do they just get paid hour for hour on the work they they do? No, they build a team and get paid for what their team does. This is called leveraging your time and this can be very profitable to a business owner. In addition, the really successful businesses have products that produce a residual income.

My business doesn't require much time, but I do have to put some effort into it.

I love taking the time to write in my blog, but things have been a little crazy. I know everyone gets the same 24 hours in a day and the saying goes it's what you do with those 24 hours that gets you rich or you remain poor.

So how do we find time to devote our time to a business that we love and know our future is going to be better off with all the hectic grinds of everyday life?

I have set aside specific time everyday for my business that I focus only on my business. I have to make sure that I use that time wisely otherwise the day passes by without me being productive.

I of course start my day off with some visualization and meditation in the morning. I usually work my business in the evening,(but I do not have a set schedule of when I work my business) when I am done enjoying the day since the sun is starting to come back out, I love being out in the warm weather.

The Power Of Intention

Talk about the power behind it. The other day I was talking to a friend of mine and we were playing the guessing game. I told her that I wanted her to guess my age, but for some reason she didn't want to. I am not sure if she didn't want to hurt my feelings or for whatever reason she didn't want to. I just wanted to see what people thought about how old I looked.

Well about two hours later I met with some other friends the very same day and one of them asked me "Susan how old are you?" I thought this is pretty cool. So needless to say I got the answer to the question I had wanted to know earlier. I was also quite pleased with what people thought about how old I am.

If you take the time to notice the things that are happening and the questions that are being answered, you will realize that the universe is answering all your questions if you just let it.

Have you ever taken the time to notice your questions or goals being answered? Another thing I have noticed that got answered is from my blog, it is starting to get more exposure because I have met a friend from Miami today. One of the keys to creating a thriving happy life or any life is the power of intention. All of the dreams and visions in the world won’t help you create a thing without intention. Webster’s defines intention as “a determination to act in a certain way.” It is also what you direct your mind to do or bring about. Intention is more than a plan or goal; it is deeply held commitment to make a certain thing occur regardless of what it takes.

So kudos to the acknowledgement to the law of attraction!!! It does work!! I am really noticing it more this year than I did last year. When we take the time to notice and be grateful for everything in life, then we notice all the things that happen to us and they come more quickly.

You Will Reach Your Goals

I always like to speak to people who persist with their goal and have achieved what it is they desired. I like to hear people's stories of success.

I have a friend by the name of Eddie, he recently bought into a partnership of a restuarant about a year and a half ago. A couple days ago I asked him his story of reaching his goal.

It goes like this he was a manager at a restuarant in Charlotte NC, for several years and then he went to Macaroni Grill. He had looked into buying his own place for several years but the timing just wasn't right. When he had finally given up the attachment of owning his own place, a friend and opportunity came along and he ended up in a partnership of a restuarant and has now been in business for about a year and a half.

The total journey to his own business was a total of 20 years. Wow that is amazing that someone would continue down that path of their goal for that long. Congradulations to Edddie.

Most people would not persist for something for 20 years. They don't have staying power. Do you believe you will reach your goals?

You're a very powerful person, and you know that all of your power comes from within. Keep on doing what you're doing and you'll reach your goals.

I Reached My Goal!

Hey everyone today I have reached my goal for my blog. I stated that by the end of March my goal was to be in the top 100,000 in the Technorati stats. Today I am at 96,325!!

Thanks to everyone for assisting me in reaching my goal by linking to me or pointing me in the right direction. About two weeks ago I started an opt in email list and assisting others generate more traffic for their current business, because that is one of the challenges for people with a home business. We can all build a website or a blog, but the challenge is do you have enough traffic?

Well I started a "New Business" which not only helps me but helps others as well and in just two short weeks I have already enrolled 35 people. Things are going awesome when you truly believe that you have found the right path and everything is going your way. I absolutely believe that 2007 is my year, and I have an affirmation that I say everyday. "I am a money magnet it comes to me from all sorts of avenues, I provide great service to people and I lead them to their goal and they do whatever it takes to reach it"

I also spend more time in my visualization and reading positive books. Right now I am reading a book by Anthony Robbins "Awaken the Giant" which is an awesome book and talks about changing some of your beliefs. If anyone has any suggestions on other books I could read, I am open to suggestions as long as it is positive material.

Not Promised Tomorrow Don't Let Limiting Beliefs Stop You

A friend of mine was telling me about what happened to her Sunday night in her own home. She said someone broke into her home and robbed everything while she lay frozen in her bed cause she was too scared to move. I told her she was very lucky that they did not do anything to harm her, and asked her what she dreaded most about the situation.

She is 54 years old, and she said while she sat in the bed she thought they were going to kill her, it made her realize that she had not really done everything she really wanted to. She always made some kind of excuse, like she couldn't afford too or she just couldn't and she would come up with some kind of excuse.

What I learned from her experience is that we are not promised tomorrow, and if you really desire to do something then you have to find a way to do it. If you do not chances are you will regret that you didn't do it.

People always make some kind of excuse when I speak to people they always act like they are promised tomorrow. They know what they truly want, and that is more time with their family but for some reason they let their limiting beliefs hold them back.

I spoke to a gentleman the other day who had been working for a company for 20 years and he was tired of it. He liked the concept of working from home, but he was scared to take control of his life and chose to continue doing what he was doing. We all make choices and we have to learn to live with those choices.

When you make your next choice just remember what do you really desire? If you truly want something you have to go after it, it will not come to you by itself. You don't know if you will be here tomorrow, live for TODAY and you will find that you will experience life to the fullest and you will never regret anything.

People crack me up when they say maybe when I retire I will be able to do that, well first of all when you retire you're alot older than you are now. Who says you have to retire at the age of 65? Why not work towards it now while you can enjoy retirement age? What limiting beliefs have you thinking you have to work for someone for 20 plus years?

Do not limiting beliefs hold you back any longer you are more powerful than you think you are. Live as if today is your last day and you will be surprised at how much you love your life.

You are what you think you are!

Manifesting Our New Carpet

We had been wondering for a couple weeks now where where were going to come up with the money for our new carpet in our condo. Today was the day that we came up with the $2,000 for the carpet. It is awesome when you put the intention out there of what it is you desire and it comes to fruition.

We went out today and picked out our new carpet and they are going to put it in next week. This is really cool when you take the time to realize everything that comes into your life. Not only are we getting new carpet, we are giving our old furniture away to rescue mission and came up with the money to get new furniture as well. That's awesome I think anyway, the law of attraction is at work with us manifesting our new furniture and carpet.

The last year I had my mind so focused on my long term goals that I did not take time to appreciate all the little things in my life. Today I take the time to be greatful for everything in my life no matter how small it is. I am starting to notice that what I truly desire is manifesting. I absolutely believe that my long term goals are manifesting as well, but it just takes time and persistence to make it become a reality.

Persistence they say if you have it you can conquer anything. I truly believe that. What do you believe? Do you believe you can manifest what you truly desire? I highly recommend a movie we rented yesterday which is called "Conversations With God" by Neale Walsh, it was awesome and makes you realize that you should be greatful for everything in your life.

Resilience Will Get You Through Anything

I watched a episode on Oprah yesterday, and it was very inspiring. She was talking about how come some people who face adversity in their lives still succeed and accomplish some amazing things. While others who face adversity let the circumstances stop them and they accomplish nothing.

I thought it was very inspirational cause I am in the middle of some adversity myself, and have refused to let it get me down. I truly believe that I have learned alot in the past year. I have been involved with personal development for a about 17 months now. Before personal development I really had no goals, I would just go to work and pay the bills. Now I feel like I have a purpose in life, and I love it.

She talked about anyone with resilience could conquer anything. Do you feel like you have resilience? I absolutely believe I do, I have had people tell me that I am crazy to believe that I can make a living without holding a job. When I walked away from the post office, they really thought I was crazy. Everyone said it was such a good job (you know working for the government and the benefits.) I wasn't happy being a mail carrier, my goal is to not work for anyone other than myself.

I have been on the path for a little over a year, and I expected that at the end of the first year I would be a millionaire. (Don't we all?) I knew absolutely nothing about business, marketing or anything (besides being an employee) I wake up every morning with my visualization of my goal, absolutely believing that I am headed in the right direction. I will persist until I reach my goal.

I feel like anyone can accomplish whatever it is they want, it just all starts with a decision and a why. I believe tough times don't last but tough people do. Your desire has to be strong enough for you to persist even during the challenges. Every downturn in our economy was followed by a period of expansion. Every missed sale is followed by a sale that you make at some point.

Winston Churchill said, "Courage is the first of human qualities because it is the quality which guarantees all other qualities." Everything else emanates from your willingness to face adversity head-on. Someone once defined courage as "fear that has said its prayers." Ernest Hemmingway defined courage as "grace under pressure."

Still Climbing The Technorati Ladder

Several posts ago I posted about climbing the technorati stats and said I would keep you informed on my goal of reaching the top 100,000 in 2007. Since my last post I was 251,000 I am now at 141,773 which I feel is very good.

I had a couple of people write me and ask me what I was doing to get my rankings keep going up. I am not really sure what I am doing, I just post in blog at least 3 times a week. I have also gotten into writing articles and submitting them to a couple of places that accept articles.

I also wrote down my goal of having a very well known blog that gets exposure of at least 5000 visitors a month. After writing down that goal about two weeks later I found out from friend of mine that one of my articles had been picked up by JT Chandler. I would publicily like to say thank you to JT for picking up my article.

I also found a system that is awesome for bringing you an unlimited amount of traffic. If you have a business you know then traffic is the solution, the more traffic you have then you can succeed in anything. I have found several people who have a business of some kind, yet they are having difficulty generating enough traffic to their website, so they are unable to continue in business. Traffic Traffic Traffic is the key.

Traffic is the primary fuel of online income generation. More visitors means more ad clicks, more product sales, more affiliate sales, more donations, more consulting leads, and more of whatever else that generates income for you. And it also means you’re helping more and more people.

Manifesting Money

We all require money to pay the bills, give to charity or just go out and have a good time. But do you really have to work for someone else for your entire life? Being an employee is the worst way to make a living. Your under appreciated and you will never make what you're worth.

We just recently got some painters to paint our condo, and it is going to cost us around $400 and we were thinking where are we going to get the money? Well we manifested $450 in just two days. On Monday we made $250 from selling a eliptical machine that we never use anymore. Today we made $200 we sold a motorcycle helmet and a Joe Rocket Jacket to one of our neighbors, since we don't have our motorcycles anymore. We didn't need to hang onto the stuff anymore.

Once you realize that it is in the way you think, then things become easier. Now I am not saying its very easy to do, but I am learning to watch my thoughts closely. I watch how I talk as well, words are very powerful.

People who don't understand this concept laugh at the principles I live by, but I believe that if you quit something you truly desire, you will only regret it later. So believe in the law of attraction cause whatever you put out comes back.

Never speak and say that you can't afford something. Rather than say that ask yourself how can I afford it. Always tell yourself that you are a money magnet and whenever you see a penny or any amount of money on the ground be sure to pick it up. Always be very grateful for it, the more gratitude you put out in the universe the more good things will come into your life.

You must also let the universe how much money you desire. For instance say I would like to make $3000 a month, then the universe knows how much money you desire. As opposed to saying I would like to make a lot of money. It's best to have something to use the money for or what you would like to do with the money. The money is just a tool, its not really the money you want it's something that the money will get you or do for you. So be clear in your asking and believe that you will receive and you will be amazed at what comes about.

Limiting Beliefs We All Have Them

Yes it's funny when I speak to people and they tell me they do not require personal development. They think they do not have any limiting beliefs.

The only people I know who do not have limiting beliefs is children. That is until of course their parents and society instill limiting beliefs upon them. As grown ups we seem to think that we can't do something or that we have to do something because that is what we were taught when we were younger. My parents told me to go to school and get a good job and basically retire. After all that is what they did, now they are living on a small pension.

People say they are happy yet the amount of people who attend personal development seminars has increased over the past couple of years. "I attend courses, read books, listen to CD’s, yet I am still not living the life I want to and am unhappy with the life I have. How can I have the life I want to have?”

That is the response of most people, they are looking for happiness somewhere yet they don't know how to find it or do they? It's simple to work towards a life that you deserve and desire. You have to be willing to persist, and most people do not have staying power. They start a business and when it doesn't go the way they want it to, they bounce around to another business opportunity.

It isn't only in business opportunities, we are responsible for everything that happens in our life. Do you believe in the Law Of Attraction? well it is working everyday and every night. Whatever you think about you bring about. If you are consistently focusing on your limiting beliefs I can't do that chances are you're going to fail at whatever it is you're doing.

Rather than state it in a negative way, tell yourself I can do it then think of it as already done. Set goals for yourself but do not self sabatoge yourself before you reach them. We are our worst enemies, we sabotage ourselves before we even begin anything. That is the reason most people do not begin anything, they talk themselves out of it.

We all fail sometimes, there is no shame. There is no such thing as failure, all it means is you made a couple of bad business decisions. There is no shame in that, we all do it. If you learn from your decisions it makes you smarter.

When forced into a corner you will have to make a decision that often means taking you out of your comfort zone and into unfamiliar territory. Stepping into the unknown and having to make a decision without your usual security blanket is the faster route to developing your personality and character and leads you to make decisions with greater wisdom in the future. Wisdom is something you gather through time, it never comes all at once. I currently am faced with issues right now, and it has put me in unfamiliar territory.

One thing I can say is that I have learned alot in the past year. You learn real quickly who your true friends are what things matter most to you. You learn real quickly what it means to have faith and how to be grateful and appreciative for everything in life.

So next time you find yourself in a crisis situation or if you are seemingly stuck in one right now, have a look around, look at all your options and look at where you want to be. Don’t get caught up in the details and I’m sure you’ll find in the long run it was a blessing in disguise.

One more thing don't ever give up on your goals. Always believe you will achieve them, if you give up you're not hurting anyone but yourself.

How Important Is Your Goal?

Ask yourself what have you worked towards and persisted until you manifested your desire? Most people do not persist until they see their goals through. Most people make decisions slowly and change their minds quickly. At the first sign of adversity they run, they get scared and quit. If you want to become a millionaire, you have to be willing to work towards it no matter how long it takes.

You can not become a millionaire overnight, if you could then there would be a lot more than just 3 percent millionaires in the United States. You have to be willing to fail, in order to succeed. If you are willing to do that, then I believe you can have whatever it is. I had a new associate start in opportunity about two months ago, she really didn't work it the way it's meant to be worked. She walked away before even giving it a fair chance.

People expect to fail, I believe that is why they don't give anything a fair chance. If you don't have the right mindset, you can jump from opportunity to opportunity and you will never be successful at any of them. It isn't the opportunity that is not working, it's your mindset.

Everyone who has become successful at anything persisted until they seen it through. If you truly desire something, persist regardless of obstacles trust me you will be glad you did.

Climbing The Technorati Stats

Hey, Iam slowly climbing up the technorati stats. At the present moment I am at 251,234, I know that isn't great but when I first discovered technorati back in 2006 I was ranked at 1,734,414.

My intention for 2007 is to climb into the top 100,000 in technorati. Another one of my intentions for "The Secret Of Life" is to receive 500,000 visitors for 2007. I recently put a counter on my site about 3 weeks ago, and as of date today I have received 736 visitors. So in short my goal is to drive my traffic, traffic, traffic to my site, so I can use my blog to make a living.

I have set my intentions and have no attachment to the outcome, but it is fun watching my rank my rank go up slowly.

I am new to blogging on the internet, I am still learning about blog carnivals and different methods to drive more traffic to my site. I have learned alot from reading other people's articles on how they used the internet to drive more traffic to their site. I did start my blog back in 2006, but I didn't take it seriously. I rarely made any posts in it, but this year it has become a addiction, I love making posts in my blog.

I love spreading the word about the law of attraction, I started a business that combines both personal development and an income opportunity combo. My purpose is to show people that they do have control of their life, all they have to do is learn how take control.

What Do You Do When You Can't Sleep

It is 11:00 a.m. in the east coast and most everyone in my neighborhood is asleep. For some reason I am wide awake. I usually go to sleep around 10 or 11:00 p.m. every night. Even if I am not sleepy I find myself going to bed around the same time every night. When I do that I usually wake up around 3:00 a.m., and when I wake up, it takes me awhile to fall back asleep.

I decided since I can't fall asleep I would take the time to write this post. I tend to read when I can't fall asleep. Usually that makes me sleepy after the first couple pages, unless it is a very interesting book then I really get into it.

I used to go to sleep really early, like 9:00 p.m. this was of course when I had to get up at 6:00 a.m. cause I had to be at work at 8:00 a.m. Now I go to bed whenever I feel like it and do not use an alarm to wake up. Since not using an alarm I find myself getting up at 9:00 a.m. every morning. I love sleeping in, it makes me feel very well rested. The only thing I do not like about waking up late is that my day seems to be shorter. I feel like when I used to get up early I would accomplish a lot more that what I do now.

When I was an early riser, I felt like by noon I had accomplished a whole days worth of things. I do not miss getting up early, but sometimes I wish I would get back into the routine of getting up by 7:00 a.m. I know that when the weather gets warmer, I will definetly get back to rising early in the morning.

If I have something planned and I have to be up by a certain time, then all I do is repeat to myself before I go to be "I will rise at whatever time I desire." 95 percent of the time I repeat that I am able to wake without an alarm. Even though I still set the alarm, just to make sure that I do get up. My alarm is set to the sound of the ocean, I can't stand an alarm that has a high pitched buzzing sound. I used to have one of those alarms, but it actually frightened me, and I do not like waking up scared.

When my alarm goes off, I stretch for a bit, and then jump out of bed and jump straight into the shower. If I don't then I will lay in bed and eventually just lay there for another hour, when I can be starting my day. After my shower I head upstairs to my office and spend some quiet usually 20 minutes visualizing my day and my goals.

My advice to you if you decide to become an early riser so you can make the most of your day. I suggest you go to bed only when your sleepy and get your body accustomed to waking up at the same time everyday.

Focus On Success Even Through Adversity

I have been reading a lot like I always do, and I read a lot of stories on how people have made a business succeed. I think it is great when someone pursues their dreams and is able to manifest them. We never hear about the adversities that someone goes through to achieve that success. Why is that? Is it because they don't want people to know that success is a work in progress? Most americans that pursue a business expect microwave success, and the first sign of adversity, they quit. Are you willing to pursue your goal even through adversity? How bad do you want to be in the top 3% of americans?

I say this because I know from experience about adversities, I started a business about a year and a half ago. I am writing this article not because I want people to feel sorry for me. I do not require any sympathy, I used to be ashamed of my current adversity, but I know it was my ego not wanting people to judge me. If we let it, our ego can take control of us and stop us from achieving what we desire.

I made a couple of wrong decisions in the past (I will not call them mistakes, because I do not consider them mistakes if you learn from them) I want to share with you the that I made so that if you ever decide to follow your dreams you will not make the same decisions I made. If I can help only one person then this article will have been worth my time to write.

I have always been an employee, doing exactly what I have been told. I was raised to follow orders and to go to work and get a good job so I would be secure. A year ago that changed, I discovered personal development. I realized how much potential I have, how much potential we all have and I decided to work on that. I didn't want to work for anyone else anymore. I knew the only way to freedom was to work for myself, so the first step was to work on myself.

Well a couple of the wrong decisions I made are listed below hopefully you will learn from them. What not to do when starting out on your own:

1. Don't Quit The Day Job: I was told that you should burn your bridge so that you have nothing to fall back on. Basically put yourself in a position to sink or swim. I do not recommend this, unless of course you have previous business and marketing experience. Follow something that is passionate to you, so that at the first sign of adversity you do not want to quit. I am very passionate about what I do, and I love it. I absolutely believe that more people should start their own business. I think people who are born and raised in the United States take the american dream lightly and do nothing but expect some company to take care of them. Wake up this is the twenty first century, if you don't take care of yourself, then no one is going to.

2. Don't Put All Your Eggs In One Basket:Keep your mind open to all sorts of income opportunities. Anything that can make you money I highly recommend that you use. Watch out for tunnel vision, if you put it out into the universe that you desire to make $10,000 a month your job is to take action. You don't know where it's going to come from and if you are so focused on one avenue, you can possibly cut off the avenue that it would be presented to you. It could come to you from the opportunity you started also affiliates, the lottery (you never know) just keep all avenues open.

3. Mastermind With Others Who Are Goal Oriented:Through all my adversity I have had the support of a wonderful environment. We have a business community of other entrepreneurial people who all use personal development to work on themselves so that they can achieve their goals they set for themselves. I highly recommend that you only listen to people who are goal oriented. My friends who just work a typical JOB for a living had nothing positive to say about my pursuing my dreams. If they are scared to pursue something and believe they can't do it, they will attempt to put you down to make you feel like you can't either.

4. Find Avenues That Are Free:The first year, I thought the way to market my business was to spend a lot of money. Well I was wrong!! I put more money into my business just to get my site out, and I basically didn't know what I was doing. I was basically throwing my money away. There are several ways to get word out about your site without having to spend a lot of money. I have been working religiously for about a month now, and my traffic has been growing everyday. 5. Don't Focus On Making Money, Instead Ask Yourself How May I Serve:We all know that money is what pays the bills, and that is why someone starts a business. I put all my focus into making money the first year, and I didn't make quite as much as I could have. We were put on this earth to help each other, and when it comes from the heart on how you can serve your fellow man, you will be rewarded with so much more than just money. Money is a byproduct from helping others, the more people you serve the more money you make.

6. Watch Your Thoughts They Do Become Reality:Even though my goal was to make $15,000 a month everyday all day last year. (and still is) I carry around a goal card with me and look at it often. Well I wanted it all last year but I had to work through some issues. I have never made that amount of money in one month in my life. I would affirm it over and over, but I don't believe that my subcounscious believed it, so guess what I didn't reach that amount last year. I now use that affirmation "wealth comes into my life from all different kinds of avenues, and I assist others in achieving their desires." I leave now focus on reaching $4,000 a month, I feel like that is a very attainable goal, and I would make a financial difference in my life right now. Once I reach that goal, I can set another goal, and it will be easier for my subconscious to believe it. So take it from me and set realistic goals, that your subconscious can believes is attainable.

Regardless of appearances and adversities do not quit! Expect success and find a role model so that you do not have to pave the path. It's better to have a path to follow and learn from. Expect yourself to success and know that anyone who has achieved success has paid their dues with adversity. You are not any different from anyone who has achieved success. The only difference between you and anyone successful is that they were willing to persist until they manifested what they desire.

Regardless of where I am today, I absolutely believe I am a step closer to my goal everyday. I do not focus on my adversity, I rarely talk about it. I want to assist others from my past so they do not make the same decisions I did. Who cares about the past, I absolutely believe my goal is right around the corner. Focus only on the goal, and leave everything else alone. If you don't choose your thoughts, they will choose you!!

Have You Heard Of The Secret?

I hope everyone got a chance to watch Oprah today, she featured a show based on "The Secret." If you haven't heard about it or seen it click on "The Secret" to watch it online now for free.

I haven't had a chance to watch Oprah yet, but it is on my to do list tomorrow, I had it recorded. It is an awesome way to live life, when you take control of your life and realize that you are responsible for everything that happens to you whether positive or negative it is a very powerful way to live.

This is the twenty first century and we must take control, if not us then who? Stop letting fear hold you back from pursuing all your dreams. People tend to think it is a risk to follow your dreams and take action. I believe it is a risk to work for someone for 20 years and then at the end of twenty years have nothing to show for it. There is no such thing as JOB security anymore, and if you are hoping a company will take care of you when you retire, then you're going to be one of the 97% of Americans when they retire. (either dead or broke)

Acknowledge What The Law Of Attraction Brings

I was reading a blog by Christine Kane and she talks about taking time to notice all the small things the universe brings you through the law of attraction.

I realized through reading one of the posts I am so focused on my long term goals that I haven't taken the time to realize and be grateful for my present manifestatations:

Manifesting Our Condo and No Pet Deposit

My partner and I had been talking about our present neighborhood, the house directly in front of ours has turned into a rental property. We don't particularly enjoy living here anymore, plus we wanted to get out of having to do yardwork.

So we decided to move, we didn't want to move back into an aparment. We own a condo, but there is a renter in it at the moment.

We talked to the management company and told them we would like for them to talk to the renter to see if they wouldn't mind moving into a different condo, so we could move into ours. If not we would move into a different condo, then move back into ours when their lease was over.

To our surprise, the management company told us yesterday that she didn't mind moving, she will be out by the 28th of February. So now we do not have to worry about whether our dogs are allowed or not, plus we do not have to worry about paying a pet deposit of any kind. We will only have to move once, until we manifest the lake home that we visualize about daily.

I know it doesn't sound like much of a victory, but through it all I have learned how to give appreciation and gratitude for everything in my life.

Take the time to notice all the small victories that come about in your life and you will start noticing that you actually have a lot of victories.

Law Of Attraction

I had a wonderful day yesterday. Everything seemed to be going awesome. I walked out of the bank in the morning and found a penny! (you bet I thanked the universe)

Then later in the day I went to get my hair highlighted and cut and I found a nickel. I am a money magnet I yelled.

I totally believe in the law of attraction. I love reading all kinds of stuff on it. When I hear of programs that are on television about it I make a point to watch them. I don't watch too much television cause it's usually not worth my time.

I was reading a blog by Richard Stocks who is also a big believer in the law of attraction and writes some very interesting posts, and it informed me that Oprah Winfrey is going to be doing her show on the "The Secret" about the Law of attraction, on February 8th. You can bet that I will be watching it, and even taping it.

If you haven't yet watched the movie "The Secret" I suggest you get your hands on it as soon as possible, it will change your life, and you will learn how to attract more of what you want, and less of what you do not want.

Believe In Success

I have been doing a lot of reading here lately, I love to read books on personal development. I absolutely love Beyond Freedom, it teaches me how to apply all the knowledge that I read about. To find out more about Beyond Freedom click here.

I have been involved with a personal development business for a little over a year now, when I first got involved, I knew absolutely nothing about the law of attraction how life worked. I was a typical american going to work and paying bills. Life sucked.

Now I wake up every morning and I love life, I am living a great life. I am creating what it is I desire. I won't say it has been a walk in the park, I have faced adversity, as a matter of fact I am still going through adversity in my life. I believe tough times don't last, but tough people do.

No matter what I know that my goals are coming into manifestation as I sit here and write. Life is a journey not a destination, and what good is it if you don't enjoy it?

My goal is to show people especially my brother and niece and nephew that if you desire anything then follow your dream. (especially my brother, cause he works really hard right now to barely make ends meet.) If I can do it then anyone can do it. You just have to have enough belief in yourself to follow your dreams.

If you make a couple mistakes on your way to your goal, that's okay also. As long as you get up and keep moving forward. After all if you keep moving forward, you're bound to get to your destination.

Learn To Jump

This past weekend we were watching "Oprah After The Show" I absolutely love to hear about Oprah's rise to fame. She came from a very poor background, and it makes me realize that if she can do it, then anyone with enough persistence and dedication can make their dreams come true.

There was a lady on the show that had a saying I don't remember the exact words but it was interesting, so I will say it in my own words, I hope it makes sense.

It is called JUMP:

Everyone here on earth is standing on a pebble in the water. Some people are on rocks and others are on boulders. Everyone has the opportunity to be standing on boulders. The only difference with the people standing on boulders and those standing on pebbles is the ones that used to be on pebbles had the courage to jump to the next rock.

Those still standing on pebbles are scared to jump to the next rock. Now they want to be standing on the boulders, but they are afraid to take that leap of faith. They are also afraid to jump, and not willing to jump unless they are guaranteed that they will land on their feet. (We all know their are no guarantees in life) They keep using the excuse that circumstances aren't right, they will wait until the time is right.

The problem with that, is circumstances will never be right. You have to be willing to take the leap of faith and believe that God will show you the way. If you keep waiting for the perfect time, you will keep waiting, and before you know it life will pass you by.

So don't be afraid to JUMP, well be afraid, but don't let FEAR stop you. After all if you are never afraid in life, then you are not in the process of accomplishing anything great.

I thought it was a wonderful saying of course it isn't perfect. I told it in my words, but I believe it gets the point across. Go forward and be bold in action, believe you will accomplish what you set forth to accomplish and don't let anyone ever tell you you can't.

Be Careful Of Your Thoughts

Something amazing happened to me yesterday. I was sitting in the Borders parking lot writting in my journal. I wrote down what I expected to happen in the next 6 hours of that same day.

Amazingly everything that I wrote down in my journal took place that same night.

It is amazing that I created my day yesterday, just like I wrote it down on paper. Talk about power.

I will do that everyday and expect it to always happen the way I write it down on paper. You can do it also, and let me know what you achieve by writing it down and just expecting it to happen.

Chillin On A Cold Wet Day

Today I really haven't done much, it's been very relaxing a nice to just be able to have the opportunity to relax. While in my old days about a year ago I would be out carrying mail on a cold day like today. I really appreciate the time I get to spend indoors instead of having to be out in the cold.

We took a friend who had been wanting to watch the movie "The Pursuit Of Happyness" today.

I highly recommend everyone to watch this movie, it is very powerful. After the movie I believe you will learn to be greatful for everything in your life.

It will also give you reason to persist whatever you are wanting to accomplish in your life.

Manifesting My Desires

Today I woke up feeling very greatful, it is snowing outside and looks very beautiful. I spent about 30 minutes visualizing how my day is going to go, and focusing on my goals I am manifesting.

I started a program online, that requires you to be able to get slots on a first come first serve basis. Well I have been trying to get slots for the past three weeks, and had no success.

Well this morning I absolutely knew that I was going to get some slots. So I made a cup of coffee, and sat upstairs at my computer and at 9:00 a.m. this morning I got the slots that I wanted to get.

So instead of focusing "I hope I am able to get slots today", I absolutely knew I was going to get the slots I wanted. It manifested the way I had envisioned it to.

Facing Adversity

I am currently facing some adversity in my life right now. I am going forward with it knowing that everything is going to turn out the way I visualize it to be. As a matter of fact, I never speak of my adversity to anyone, cause I do not want to focus on it, only a couple of special people I care about know what is going on in my life right now. And so she took a minute to send me this saying, it really is a wonderful saying I wanted to share it with you. And always remember that no matter what is going on in your life, never focus on the appearances, always know that whatever your goal is you will reach it. We all face adversity sometime in our lives, and it isn't the adversity that you are remembered for, it is how you face and challenge the adversity:

HUT ON FIRE

The only survivor of a shipwreck was washed up on a small, uninhabited
island. He prayed feverishly for GOD to rescue him, and every day he
scanned the horizon for help, but none seemed forthcoming.

Exhausted, he eventually managed to build a little hut out of driftwood
to protect himself from the elements, and to store his few possessions.

One day, after scavenging for food, he arrived home to find his little
hut in flames, with smoke rolling up to the sky. The worst had happened,
and everything was lost. He was stunned with disbelief, grief, and anger.
"GOD, how could you do this to me?" he cried.

Early the next day he was awakened by the sound of a ship that was
approaching the island.

It had come to rescue him. "How did you know I was here?" Asked the weary
man of his rescuers. "We saw your smoke signal," they replied.

It's easy to get discouraged when things are going bad, but we shouldn't
lose heart, because GOD is at work in our lives, even in the midst of
pain, and suffering.

Remember that, the next time your little hut seems to be burning to the
ground. It just may be a smoke signal that summons the grace of GOD.
